South End Restaurant Guide

The South End has a wealth of restaurants and cafes at all price points. Here is a list of the restaurants I have reviewed. I highly recommend Toro for fusion tapas, Stella for outdoor dining, Flour for pastries and sandwiches, and Chocolee for beignets and chocolates! I know I seem indiscriminate with the high ratings but really they are all quite good. :)

Aroa Fine Chocolates
:
They have an large assortment of chocolates, cakes, jelly candies, and pastries. There are also many tables where you can sit and enjoy your purchases.

Chocolee Chocolates
:
Great chocolates! And even greater beignets. Highly recommended.

Flour:
Cafe that serves pastries, cookies, sandwiches, soups, coffee. I love this place!

Gaslight:
French bistro style restaurant. I like it because there's ample parking and isn't too crowded for weekend brunches.

South End Buttery
:
Great cafe that's pet friendly. Well pets can sit with their owners outside. Lovely cupcakes here, including the red velvet.

Stella:
Awesome for summer outdoor dining and people watching. Food is good too.

Toro
:
Nice spot for drinks and tapas after work or on weekends. The tapas are very creative and delicious!
