I realize "pork floss" doesn't sound appetizing but it's delicious! I would compare it to roasted pork buns from dim sum but a more casual version. Here's what wikipedia says about pork floss aka rousong.
Anyway I got some of these buns at Yi Soon Bakery in Allston yesterday. Not really a big fan of their pastries (cakes etc.) but the savory buns are as good as I can find in Boston. They have a variety from curry to egg and ham.
If you get pork floss from Super 88, you can also sprinkle it generously on buttered toast. Quite yum!
Chomp Meter: Great for Asian savory buns. Boston's version of Tai Pan in NYC Chinatown.
