It was alright. The texture of the flesh doesn't taste quite right after being frozen. On the plus side though, it isn't as pungent.minihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16317753645794344353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19708882.post-67211568130136675542008-12-11T18:48:00.000-05:002008-12-11T18:48:00.000-05:00I've been curious about durian ever since I bought...I've been curious about durian ever since I bought a Thai cookbook 15 years ago...but I still haven't tried it. I do know that it has a very pungent smell, but I have a friend who swears by it (that it's delish). You're making me think about going out and buying some.Something About Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04145620447227506182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19708882.post-91478639406339430902008-12-06T23:32:00.000-05:002008-12-06T23:32:00.000-05:00It is bordering on scary. Thankfully the guy at the store usually does it for you :)

The taste is indescribable, a little sweet, a little bitter and the flesh is mushy and creamy. And of course it smells extremely pungent! Some places in the US serve it but I recommend trying it in South East Asia. Fresher, cuz bad durian can be well bad!minihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16317753645794344353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19708882.post-42230007573535697932008-11-26T11:20:00.000-05:002008-11-26T11:20:00.000-05:00That is the weirdest looking food ever!
